Now Who I Am Heart Shaped World

b. 29 December 1983, Huntingdon, Tennessee, USA. Andrews tasted her first success in the fourth grade when her rendition of Dolly Parton’s ‘I Will Always Love You’ won the competition at her school talent show. She started taking singing engagements at local fairs and carnivals as well as bars. News of her talent reached Nashville producer Byron Gallimore (Tim McGraw, Jo Dee Messina), who immediately took her into the studio. With Gallimore’s backing she won over representatives of DreamWorks Nashville label, who offered her a contract. Her first notable release was ‘I Will Be There For You’, included on The Prince Of Egypt - Nashville compilation. It was followed in March 1999 by debut album Heart Shaped World. This saw her celebrated, alongside such artists as LeAnn Rimes and Lila McCann, as part of a new wave of teenagers rejuvenating contemporary country music. Andrews joined the big league with her second album, which entered the Billboard country chart at number 2 in March 2001. Such success is no fluke as Andrews does have a stunning voice.
