This Australian band formed in the early 80s, had a hugely successful hit in their home land with their debut single ‘Send Me An Angel’ in 1983. This success was continued in the USA reaching the Top 30 early the next year The band had difficulties coping with this instant stardom and only managed to consolidate their success in the US with the Top 40 hit ‘Catch Me I’m Falling’. Comprising David Sterry (lead vocals), Alan Johnson (bass), Danny Simcic (drums), Steve Williams (keyboards) and Richard Zatorski (violin/keyboards), the band had its image and sound rooted in the British new romantic movement, Spandau Ballet and Duran Duran being major influences, and were hence able to sustain their career in dance clubs, both in Australia and the USA.
