R&B singer and songwriter Jazmine Sullivan may have performed on SHOWTIME AT THE APOLLO at age 11, but it wasn’t until she began working as a producer and a songwriter in the industry some years later that she gained credibility. Behind the scenes contributions to albums by Christina Milian and Fantasia (on which she collaborated with Missy Elliott) led to a solo recording contract with J Records, who took to the artist’s catchy blend of urban contemporary, pop, and hip-hop. Sullivan’s debut full-length FEARLESS, featuring the single “Need U Bad,” was issued in 2008.
