Saving Abel is an alternative metal act with punk, stoner rock, and classic southern rock influences. Formed in Corinth, Mississippi in 2004, the band consists of singer Jared Weeks, guitarists Jason Null and Scott Bartlett, bassist Eric Taylor, and drummer Blake Dixon. After self-releasing their debut album, SAVING ABEL, in 2006, the band signed to Virgin Records the following year. Their major label debut, also called SAVING ABEL, and containing many of the same songs as the indie release, was released by Virgin in March 2008.
