The Best Of Journey of a Gemini Life Goes On Where I Wanna Be My Heart

b. 22 May 1973, Chicago, Illinois, USA. Edward Ferrell of Untouchables Entertainment discovered this talented singer-songwriter at the Black Radio Exclusive Conference in Washington, DC. The ex-Heavy D associate helped Jones sign a recording contract with LaFace Records. His writing skills were first heard on Usher’s 1994 hit single, ‘Think Of You’. Writing credits for Jade, Brownstone and 702 followed, and Jones was also hired to assist with the vocal arrangements on Madonna’s Bedtime Stories. His debut album, June 1996’s My Heart, included a credible cover version of Stevie Wonder’s ‘Knocks Me Off My Feet’ alongside strong original songs such as the R&B hit ‘In The Hood’. The intoxicating blend of urban beats and classic soul melodies earned Jones several highly complementary reviews.

The follow-up, 1999’s Where I Wanna Be, was another stylish collection premiered by the US Top 10 hit single, ‘U Know What’s Up’. Jones’ third album, Life Goes On, was another commercial success (reaching the US Top 3) and his strongest collection of material to date. A lengthy delay followed before Jones returned with 2006’s Journey Of A Gemini.
