Sean Foreman and Nathaniel Motte met while attending the University of Colorado. Foreman, who at the time was a member of the band Eight Hour Orphans, called on Motte to mess around with his home studio equipment and 3OH!3 was born. Their 10-track self-titled indie debut featured a unique fusion of high energy raps, electro, and alternative rock. After working their connections with local acts Grace Cale, the Blackout Pact, and Signal to Noise, the duo scored some stage-time at the Warped Tour show in Denver 2007. 3OH!3’s performance led to their signing on for the entire national tour the following year as well as a deal with Atlantic subsidiary, Photo Finish Records. Working with producer Matt Squire, 3OH!3 released their second album, WANT, in 2008.
