With his old-school corrido style, the traditional Mexican singer El Tigrillo Palma (Sinaloan Efren Aguilar) first hit the big time via the 2006 tune "Los Chiquinarcos." In the wake of that success, there was no looking back for him, as one El Tigrillo Palma album after another (such as the 2009 release AL CIEN POR MILLON), released through the Univision label, found favor on the regional Southwestern circuit, showing that the market for classic Mexican musical styles was still a vital one.
