Idiosyncratic party-starting duo LMFAO is comprised of RedFoo and his (close to same-aged) nephew, Sky Blu. After messing around with drum machines and quirky rhymes, a mixtape with their song “I’m In Miami Bitch” began circulating at the 2007 Miami Winter Music Conference. Before long, their good-natured, self-crafted club tracks--and corresponding YouTube skits/videos--became a viral phenomenon, and Interscope Records signed the pair. Their debut LP, PARTY ROCK, is also the name of their clothing line, and what LMFAO views as their general aesthetic approach. Artists as diverse as Lady Gaga and Chris Cornell have since sought them out for remix work as well.
